Positive: L'appartement est bien situé au cœur du centre ville. Très propre et bien équipé.

Stay away Positive: - it’s calm, no noisy neighbours, you can hardly hear the street sounds - It’s relatively new, the building is from 1970 though - It’s spacious enough for 2 people - It’s well situated in the center of the town - The bed is very comfortable Negative: - No bedside light/lightswitch. The “light” is battery-powered and out of batteries. - No second bedside table - No plug/extension cord on another side of the bed. We had to buy one ourselves. - Wardrobe is full with pillows and a large mattress. Would be nice to store the additional mattress under the bed. - Door hinge broken in bathroom shelf, under the sink - No blackout curtains, lots of light from the street lamps all night - Window near the bed is poorly isolated, there’s a noticeable cold air flowing from it. It’s -30 outside… I don’t want to feel it - Drying rack for clothes is broken, missing a piece, barely useable and unstable - One of two lamps in the bathroom over the mirror is broken and burned out - Toilet seat is broken - Rug in front of the bed is very slippery - Previous reviews mention cleaning issues and yet, it seems like it was not taken seriously. It’s quite clear that the cleaning is done superficially and carelessly by a hired third-party who does the bare minimum. And that’s not ok, especially with the price of staying in the apartment. As a summary: this apartment only looks good on pictures because it’s shown in its original state, without all the damage it suffered throughout the years. And the pictures only show you the general image, hiding all the details. I would NOT recommend renting it to anyone who can afford anything else in the city. To fellow travellers: don’t assume all of these things will have been fixed by the time you go there. And to the owners: if your business is renting, do a better job. Pay real attention to the state of things, it’s your job, not mine. Last year we stayed at another apartment in Rovaniemi and it had ZERO issues, and the owner actually cared about its state.
